This remarkable achievement highlights the program’s stability and consistency, as they have now had at least one NCAA tournament team for 38 straight years! Fans are buzzing with excitement as the Bluejays prepare to make history once again.
A Record-Breaking Win Streak
The Bluejays are currently on a stunning 24-match win streak, marking the longest active win streak in the country. This program-record streak not only demonstrates the team’s skill and tenacity but also showcases their hard work throughout the season. Each game has brought them one step closer to achieving their ultimate goal, and supporters can’t wait to see what’s next for this unstoppable team.
Recognition in the AVCA Poll
With their incredible performance, Creighton is now ranked fifth in the AVCA poll, the best ranking in the history of the program. This recognition reflects not only the players’ dedication but also the coaching staff’s direction. Speaking of the coaching staff, under the guidance of Kirsten Bernthal Booth, they were awarded Big East Coaching Staff of the Year, a testament to their outstanding leadership.
Big East Dominance
The Bluejays have certainly left their mark during the Big East awards season. Kendra Wait received both the Big East Player of the Year and Setter of the Year honors, while six other Bluejays garnered All-Big East accolades. Notably, Jaya Johnson was named to the All-Freshman team, highlighting the depth and talent of this fine squad.
